Job Summary ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Team Leads providetechnical and process-related guidance, answer questions, andaddress technical issues to support the day-to-day operations of awork group or team.

In addition, they support Supervisors byproviding supplemental performance information for employeeevaluations/appraisals and collaborating on strategies foraccomplishing team goals and objectives.

Lead Geospatial Analystscreate, analyze, and interpret spatial data to support U.S.Military and policymaker interests.

They apply knowledge ofgeographic information science and technology, statistics, spatialthinking, remote sensing, intelligence issues, and the social andphysical sciences to characterize events, discover relationshipsand trends, and produce geospatial intelligence.

These analystsalso conduct multi-INT research, conduct descriptive and predictiveanalyses, populate and exploit intelligence databases, and produceand disseminate intelligence products.

Additional Job InformationADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Mission Support Officer is an enthusiastic,versatile, and proactive Analyst who works mission support andtransformational initiatives supporting the production anddissemination of targeting-related GEOINT and associated softwaretools.

Specifically, the work involves the creation, modification,integration, and maintenance of targeting-related web services, websites, data interfaces, data and data structures, GEOINT databases,and Geospatial tools used by NGA and the greater worldwidetargeting enterprise.

Strong communication skills are essential, asis the ability to apply new methods and technologies to solvetargeting problems.

The position requires the individual to workindependently, as well as, to working in small groups comprised ofNGA, DoD, and contractor personnel.

Standard duty hours to includeoccasional non-standard hours.

The Targeting Requirements & Mission Support Branch ensures all customer relationships,requirements, systems, and tools are developed, maintained, andenhanced to ensure the targeting enterprise delivers precise,accurate, timely Geospatial Intelligence and guidance to enableglobal partners to meet targeting objectives.

This position may beeligible for an INCENTIVE: The selected candidates may be offeredan incentive as part of the offer of employment, based on budgetavailability.

To receive the incentive, the selected candidate mustsign a service agreement depending on the approved amount orduration of the incentive.

If the employee leaves before the end ofthe service agreement, the employee may be required to repay a prorata share amount of the incentive to the government.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A.

Education: Bachelor’sdegree from an accredited college or university in GeographicInformation Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Geography, PhysicalScience, Data Analytics, Cartography, Statistics, or a relatedfield OR a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a certificatein GIS from an accredited university.

OR B.

Combination ofEducation and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter)hours of coursework in GIS, spatial analysis, or any area listed inoption A, plus experience working in an Intelligence disciplinerequiring creating, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data, orrelated area that demonstrates the ability to successfully performthe duties associated with this work.

As a rule, every 30 semester(45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year ofexperience.

Candidates should show that their combination ofeducation and experience totals 4 years.

OR C.

Experience: Aminimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligencediscipline requiring creating, analyzing, and interpreting spatialdata, or a related area that demonstrates the ability tosuccessfully perform the duties associated with this work.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues ofprincipal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with orwithout corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Far visual acuity of20/30 or better binocular with or without corrective lenses.

HighlyDesired Qualifications QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to themandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: *Solid foundation in web services development.

* Experience incomputer programing (e.G.

Java, JavaScript, PERL, PYTHON, PHP,etc.), Structured Query Language (SQL), and relational databases.

*Knowledge or experience in open source geospatial technologies(e.G.

GeoServer, Open Layers, etc.).

* Cloud computingenvironments, computer systems administration, systems engineeringand architecture experience or knowledge.

* Strong interpersonaland communication skills are required as analysts must be able toconvey their findings via written and oral means and receiveacknowledgement that it is received and understood.

Additional JobRequirements You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secretsecurity clearance with access to Sensitive CompartmentedInformation.

In addition, you are subject to a CounterintelligencePolygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secretinformation.
