Job SummaryASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Team Leads provide technical and process-related guidance, answer questions, and address technical issues to support the day-to-day operations of a work group or team.
In addition, they support Supervisors by providing supplemental performance information for employee evaluations/appraisals and collaborating on strategies for accomplishing team goals and objectives.
Lead Geospatial Analysts create, analyze, and interpret spatial data to support U.S.
military and policymaker interests.
They apply knowledge of geographic information science and technology, statistics, spatial thinking, remote sensing, intelligence issues, and the social and physical sciences to characterize events, discover relationships and trends, and produce geospatial intelligence.
These analysts also conduct multi-INT research, conduct descriptive and predictive analyses, populate and exploit intelligence databases, and produce and disseminate intelligence products.Additional Job InformationADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Mission Support Officer is an enthusiastic, versatile, and proactive Analyst who works mission support and transformational initiatives supporting the production and dissemination of targeting-related GEOINT and associated software tools.
Specifically, the work involves the creation, modification, integration, and maintenance of targeting-related web services, web sites, data interfaces, data and data structures, GEOINT databases, and Geospatial tools used by NGA and the greater worldwide targeting enterprise.
Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to apply new methods and technologies to solve targeting problems.
The position requires the individual to work independently, as well as, to working in small groups comprised of NGA, DoD, and contractor personnel.
Standard duty hours to include occasional non-standard hours.
The Targeting Requirements & Mission Support Branch ensures all customer relationships, requirements, systems, and tools are developed, maintained, and enhanced to ensure the targeting enterprise delivers precise, accurate, timely Geospatial Intelligence and guidance to enable global partners to meet targeting objectives.This position may be eligible for an INCENTIVE: The selected candidates may be offered an incentive as part of the offer of employment, based on budget availability.
To receive the incentive, the selected candidate must sign a service agreement depending on the approved amount or duration of the incentive.

Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in GIS, spatial analysis, or any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline requiring creating, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data, or related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience.
Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years.

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline requiring creating, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Far visual acuity of 20/30 or better binocular with or without corrective lenses.Highly Desired QualificationsQUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:* Solid foundation in web services development.* Experience in computer programing (e.G.

GeoServer, Open Layers, etc.).* Cloud computing environments, computer systems administration, systems engineering and architecture experience or knowledge.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required as analysts must be able to convey their findings via written and oral means and receive acknowledgement that it is received and understood.

Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.Additional Job RequirementsYou must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information.
All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility.
