MetaSource is seeking a dynamic detail-oriented employee to join its Mortgage Service team.What does a MERS Specialist Do?The MERS Specialist works with MetaSource clients on all Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) compliance requirements, primarily with mintrak2 and MERS Third Party Review Services.
They aid and train clients and other members of the team on compliance requirements and ensures adherence to MERS compliance requirements on mortgage loan documents.Responsibilities:Learn MERS requirements and be an industry expert on MERS processes and requirementsCollaborate with MERS members to ensure monthly data reconciliation standards have been met utilizing the mintrak2 systemMonitor and respond to client requests in the MERS Services email boxAct as Third Part Auditor for members in order to meet MERS compliance requirementsMaintain current knowledge regarding process and regulatory changes and agency guidelinesIdentify gaps in member processing and provide recommendations to correct deficienciesQualifications:High school diploma or GED; 3 years’ experience in Mortgage origination; or any combination of education and experienceKnowledge of MERS compliance requirementsPrevious experience in a technology related field preferredPrevious experience working with large data setsAbility to read and interpret documents such as company policies; ability to write routine reports and correspondences; bilingual is a plusPrevious experience working with clients/customersDemonstrates advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in ExcelWhat do we offer?Competitive PayOngoing TrainingCasual DressGreat Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K100% Company-paid Basic Life Insurance and Short-Term DisabilityGenerous Paid Time OffEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness ProgramOur CultureAt MetaSource, we believe in practicing a culture of best-in-class performance, employee involvement, and continual improvement.
