SummaryAbout the Position: This position is located within the Director for Clinical Support, Department of Radiology at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD.
Incumbent will work both independently and part of a multi disciplinary team to cover front desk operations for the department.
Work entails the ability to multi task and keep up with a fast paste environment.Parking at WRNMMC is limited.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Perform front desk duties to include: greet patients and take necessary action to expedite a smooth and effective visit.
Determine priorities as to which patient is seen first according to the urgency of medical condition.
Perform a variety of administrative functions associated with medical records and health information processing including, analyzing and verifying medical records for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
Receive all telephone calls and visitors to the department, answer inquires regarding a variety of things such as obtaining medical assistance.
Adjust times of appointments based on changes in provider’s schedule and/or shift patients to other clinic providers in case of unexpected absence.
Create and maintain each patient’s file to be used throughout the entire treatment.
Analyze medical records to ensure records are accurate and complete data is entered.
Provide telephonic reminders to patients for scheduled appointments to include reminders of preparations and labs needed prior to the appointment.

A background investigation and credit check are required.
