Observe, document, and communicate pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals and to ensure care for individuals.
Administer medications as prescribed by Physician, per regulations.
Assist with therapeutic activities such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games.
Demonstrate and assist with activities such as bathing and dressing to train residents in daily self-care practices.
Converse with residents to reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction.
Prepare and serve meals; dine with residents to act as a role model.
Assist residents in mobility, hygiene, and any other tasks in which assistance or direction is necessary.
Use behavior management techniques and physical interventions as directed in the individual behavior plans.
Attend to routine health care needs of residents under supervision of medical personnel.
May transport individuals in agency vehicle to appointments, shopping, or recreational activities.QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED preferred.
Some shifts require a valid NYS driver’s license with a driving record that is in accordance with the requirements of our Liability/Automotive Insurance carrier.The Arc of Madison Cortland is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
