The Role The Sales Support Representative position supports our company and team sales goals by building and nurturing relationships with our agents/wholesalers.
This position provides support and educates our agents and wholesalers on our company value adds and carrier products and services.
This role provides sales support and case consultation to help agents and wholesalers grow their business.
Essential Job Functions , other duties as assigned Manage outbound and inbound contacts to potential agents, existing agents, and their staff by telephone and e-mail.
Maintain and update agent information in company database.
Provide sales support and case consultation to agents regarding potential sales opportunities.
Be a business model expert of the assigned wholesaler, annuities, and life insurance.
Serve as a subject matter expert on company products and ways to best position these products to agents using advanced design concepts.
Provide agents and their staff with product information, illustrations, and materials required to be licensed and/or write business.
Maintain contact with agents/staff primarily through outbound follow-up calls on product quotes, illustrations, and materials sent to agents/staff.
Identify and resolve any potential pre-sale issues and work to resolve.
Experience and Education Prior experience within an insurance carrier environment preferred.
Phone sales experience preferred.
Associate’s degree (A.
A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensing Active insurance license or able to obtain an insurance license within the first three months of employment.
