This Desktop Support Technician role with Robert Half Technology requires a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. You might be our ideal candidate, if you are a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. This Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term temporary-to-full-time in nature and is based in the Lombard, Illinois, area.

How you will make an impact

– Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

– Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

– Curate records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

– Be in contact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

– Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

– Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

– Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions

Job Requirements:
– 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience

– Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

– Microsoft Office 365 experience desired

– Knowledge of Active Directory

– Deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange

– Experience with Computer Imaging

– Ticketing System experience preferred

– Proven knowledge of Desktop Imaging

– Well-founded grasp of VPNs (virtual private networks)
