Gas Chromatography Customer Support Technician

This is a Full-time position in Linthicum Heights, MD posted May 31, 2021.

Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest IT staffing firm, has a contract to hire engagement for a Customer Support Technician to join one of our clients in the Biotechnology Industry on their Support team in the Baltimore Metro Area. The Customer Support Technician will provide technical assistance to existing customers.  This will be done by performing remote diagnoses and offering step-by-step solutions. This support will be provided in a user-friendly, professional manner.

An ideal candidate would be a fast learning, self-starter, excellent at time management and willing to be an explorer.

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR Customer Support Technician:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent telephone/email technical support to existing customers.
  • Record all pertinent information and communications.
  • Keep informed of all product information and uses.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles.
  • 1+  years of experience in Gas/Liquid Chromatography.
  • Excellent time management skills.
