Force Combat Systems Readiness Support Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Our Technology and Technical Solutions (TTS) sector focuses on the development and integration of solutions that support mission success of critical systems such as secure communications, satellite systems, nuclear operations solutions, network operations, program, training, and administrative services and environmental management services.

Our TTS team is currently looking to hire a Force Combat Systems Readiness Support with 8+ years experience for work in San Diego, CA.

Summary: This position will support a new services contract to provide Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I)/Cyber Readiness Program Mission and Infrastructure Support Services to Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific (CNSP) N6 Department Staff and Divisions.

These vital support services will enhance warfighting readiness and increase the C5I proficiency of the Surface Force to include afloat and ashore claimants and staff.

The position will align to CNSP Force Combat Systems Officer providing Readiness, Meeting, Instruction and Trend Analysis support.

Candidate shall have documented experience, capabilities and training in Fleet Combat Systems instructions, requirements, equipment, and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily monitoring of readiness of Combat Systems Readiness issues through official message traffic, email correspondence, verbal tasking, or other communication means, and provide findings to the Force Combat Systems Officer (F-CSO) and staff.
  • Perform assessment of policy changes for impact to Fleet stakeholders, and provide feedback of suggested changes.
  • Attend teleconferences, video teleconferences (VTCs), and internal and external meetings in lieu of or in addition to the F-CSO and staff.
  • Document meeting minutes and prepare any necessary visual aids to support meeting requirements.
  • Perform development of technical documentation for Type Commander (TYCOM) instructions, data calls, requests for information, and multimedia presentations for F-CSO initiatives and requirements.
  • Perform trend analysis on CSO related CASREPs and trouble tickets to provide tailored training in support of CSO mission requirements.
  • Present findings in Government-approved format for distribution via formal Naval messages, multimedia presentations, or other approved means as directed.
  • Develop CSO metrics to reflect trends and readiness metrics against POR installation status, requirements, and directives to support leadership requirements and process improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of recent and consistent experience as a Navy Combat Systems Officer.
  • BS in STEM.

    An additional 7 years of relevant experience (15 years total) may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of CNSP N6 s mission, functions and tasks and US Navy surface forces.
  • Proficient knowledge of the following Integrated Combat Systems: AEGIS, SSDS, LCS, ZUM, Fire Control Radars, SPY, SPQ-9B, SPS-77, SPS-48.
  • Proficient knowledge of the following Major Caliber Guns and associated Fire Control Systems: CIWS, MK 45, MK 160, MK 86, MK 110, MK 46, MK 38.
  • Proficient knowledge of the following Missile Systems: VLS, RAM, NSSM, NSM.
  • Proficient knowledge of the following Underwater Systems: SQQ-89, SQR-19, MFTA, Fathometer, SVTT, NIXIE.
  • Proficient knowledge TTWCS, Lasers (SSL TM, ODIN, HELIOS), Auxiliary Systems (SKIDS, WSHPAC, 400HZ) and Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT).
  • Proficient knowledge in the following programs: BFTT Grooms, CSATs, Deployed Tech Riders (SPY, VLS, CIWS), SPY Array Resurfacing, CSSQT, CS Certification, WFIPs.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong customer focus and effective inter-personal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, prioritization, and follow through.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Possess active listening skills.
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S.

    Citizens.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior US Navy Staff experience.
  • Prior Combat System Officer Experience.
  • Prior Surface Warfare experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • May be required to lift, carry and transport equipment and boxes.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment.
  • May stand prone or sit at a computer for hours at a time.
  • Job may require bending, stooping, lifting.
