Field Technician / Customer Service Engineer

Job Description The Field TechnicianCustomer Service Engineer will provide break-fix troubleshooting and repair services, installde-installs to our customers. 5-yearsrsquo experience as a Field Service TechnicianEngineer. Travel Mostly 150-miles from home base, occasional overnight wapproval as needed. Travel via flight for some training required. Govt Clearance Helpful if current, able to obtain if not current Able to take calls for BIBEpson, General territory for D1 Capable of movingliftingpushing up to 50-pounds without assistance. RESPONSIBILITIES bull Installing, repairing and troubleshooting workstations, Printers, Scanners, Routers, Switches bull Installing and repairing Servers, Desktops, Laptops, and Printers. bull Troubleshoot and installing in LAN-WAN environments bull Provide some desk side technical support for hardware and software bull Perform analysis to effectively identify potential problems to eliminate problems in the future bull Maintain requisite technical competence to support the hardware and software bull Install, move, add, and change hardware and related peripherals in accordance with the Change Management Process bull Taking appropriate actions to mitigate or eliminate hardwaresoftware problems bull Perform applicable preventative maintenance, per OEM specifications bull Standby and travel are a requirement, normally 150 – 200 mile radius EDUCATION bull High schoolCollegeMilitaryTech School – Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology is desirable bull Certifications ACENetCEMCSE – Cisco Certifications will be desired. ACENetCE required to be obtained within first 3-months for 1, and 2nd 3-months for the other. EXPERIENCE bull Minimum 5 years of Information Technology Experience in the public sector with organizations undergoing major upgrades to software and systems is preferred bull Experience installing and repairing Servers, Desktop Laptops bull Experience installing troubleshooting LAN-WAN environments bull Experience installing and repairing troubleshooting workstations, Printers, Scanners, Routers, Switches AppleMAC Certrsquos andor Experience a PLUS. REQUIREMENTS bull Must be available to be on-call per schedule bull Must have excellent communications and customer service skills, and demonstrate leadership and creative thinking bull Must be able to travel throughout the state and outlying areas bull Must be able to work overtime when required bull Must be able to provide own dependable transportation bull Must submit to and pass a Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol screen
