REQ#: RQ104818 Travel Required: Less than 10% Public Trust: None Requisition Type: Regular General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking Field Support Engineer and Integration Liaison. This position requires active US Department of Defense (DoD) TS-SCI security clearance. Primary responsibilities of the Field Support Engineer Advisor and Integration Liaison are to provide expertise on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, long-haul communications and data ingest, project management processes and operational employment. The incumbent will provide specialized mission support to the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), encompassing activities associated with the site network systems. Work will include supporting configuration management processes and procedures and providing support and performing or assisting Air Force and military personnel with typical software and hardware duties on specialized equipment and computer systems. Responsibilities include some or all of the activities listed below, and other closely related activities. * Work directly with the DCGS site Technical Director to provide systems engineering and integration management expertise and support.
* Provide subject matter expertise on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, management processes and operational employment.
* Interface with the AF DCGS Systems Program Office, associated Wings, Major Commands, Headquarters Air Force Air Staff, and national mission partners to coordinate systems changes, integration activities, and maintain the site security posture.
* Assist and advice on software patches, investigate and report software anomalies and deficiencies and configure software to accommodate operational requirements.
* Coordinate with site personnel and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) contractor(s) in the maintenance and configuration control of operational systems baselines.
* Coordinate with site personnel and the OEM contractor(s) in the support of software of sub-systems to include, but not limited to, the workstations, host data servers, data back-up and restoral devices, mission planning components, information guard technology systems, and other government developed software systems.
* Assist military personnel in problem identification and resolution.
* May also perform as a trainer for military personnel.
* Develop procedures to operate and support the system by military personnel when technical data is unavailable or inadequate. Qualifications and Skills: * Individual be a U.S. citizen and have a current and active US Department of Defense (DoD) TS-SCI security clearance.
* Ability to maintain direct contact with appropriate Original Equipment Manufacturer contractor and access to appropriate technical and proprietary data to facilitate training objectives.
* Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems.
* Strong analytical, written and verbal communications skills, required
* Strong critical thinking skills with policy relationship at various levels of DoD, required
* 6. Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.), required
* Ability to organize and lead working groups, required
* Experience with the DoD Configuration Management processes, a plus
* Experience at USEUCOM or at least one of its Component Commands, a plus
* Experience with IntelShare or similar SharePoint platform functionality, preferred Required Education and Experience: * Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems.
