Field Sales Support Specialist (Contract Position)

Job description:

Join a fast-paced, high performing team executing national seasonal sales programs!

A team of Program Support Specialists assist the Sales Project Manager on administration and support of seasonal field sales programs. Responsibilities include coordinating with employment agency, preparing and shipping of supply kits, and ongoing communication with field-based contract employees. These positions involve extensive communication via phone and email, as well as significant database maintenance.

These positions are located in Cary, NC and will run full time through June 2017 (with possible month-to-month extension, as needed). Candidate employment will be handled through a third-party agency.

Successful candidates will:

  • Maintain database of employee data, including time & attendance.
  • Create new user profiles in merchandising database.
  • Prepare and ship new employee supply kits.
  • Monitor and respond to miscellaneous employee requests via phone hotline and email account.
  • Monitor and verify weekly employee attendance records.
  • Coordinate with R&D team to answer email inquiries related to product knowledge.
  • Assist recruiting staff with candidate phone screening, as needed.
  • Assist Sales Project Manager with ad hoc reporting and other projects, as needed.
  • Various administrative tasks including preparation and shipping of new employee packets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly via phone.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines.
  • Strong skills with both MS Word and Excel. Sharepoint experience is a plus.
  • Organization and planning skills.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, or a minimum of 5 years administrative experience.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, Communications or Administrative roles.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a contract position to be filled through a third-party employment agency.
