Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Residential Counselor/Caregiver Job Description

KMS is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP)/Residential Counselors/Caregivers to work in residential homes or community settings.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver will provide caregiving assistance in all areas of daily living for adults with mental health/intellectual disability diagnoses
• Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver will collaborate with treatment team in order to properly implement goals listed in Individual Support plans (ISP’S)
• Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver will ensure proper hygiene and sanitation by assisting and implementing cleaning skills
• Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver will provide medication administration/monitoring

Educational and Credentialing Requirements

• Minimum High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

• Valid Driver’s License (cannot be expired or suspended)
