The Release Operations / Knowledge Base Support Engineer is an associate to mid-level operations contributor working with other team members to create, manage, and maintain product releases in support of various converged platforms and products.

The role is responsible for maintaining the release database and ensuring associated knowledge management content is accurate and available for various stakeholders.

The Release Operations / Knowledge Base Support Engineer also provides analysis of vendor data to ensure the quality of the content they manage.

What you’ll achieveAs a Release Operations / Knowledge Base Support Engineer, you will collect, curate, and distribute code related information to drive use case optimized decision making allowing for efficient life-cycle management of converged products and related data center services.

You will:Provide the authoritative knowledge base of curated component code information accessible to various stakeholders for their use casesExtract maximum value from CI engineering, services, and support “learnings” and centralize the content to be leveraged fully across Dell TechnologiesEvaluate various information data points, harvest high-value content, and provide enhanced value knowledgeSupport internal and external application users as they utilize the tools that you maintainWork with IT and other team members to manage the application environment and provide the most timely and accurate content Take the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.

Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Roles & Responsibilities Manage and maintain release management knowledgebaseCollaborate with Release Managers to ensure accurate and timely data is available to be used for assessing customer environments and planning changes to those environments.Identify and analyze data gaps, research and determine resolution, and update database as appropriate.Monitor for and review data errors, address issues directly, or route to additional stakeholders as needed.Research vendor compatibility and support constraints and monitor for changes to published content.Drive and improve data management process.Contribute to the development and achievement of organization’s goals and objectives.Proactively identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errorsCommunicate status and escalate issues to correct stakeholders as required and in a timely manner.Actively participate in resolution of issues and problems, internally as well as with third party partners.Consults with quality assurance teams to evaluate the success of test cases and issues for all platform systems.Analyzes hardware and software requirements to determine feasibility of release inclusion within time and resource constraints.Works with quality assurance teams to review documentation, address issues and support those roles within the release cycle.Periodically perform gap analysis on where there are communication and business flow issues between teams reside and develop solution ideas.May perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or related work experience.2+ years of technical and/or data analysis skills or equivalent experience.Proven ability to deliver high quality results in a very dynamic environment.Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and workstream balancing skills.Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholdersBasic understanding or willingness to learn hardware and software for technical operations and how the products work together within this industry.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Concise business/technical writing skillsAble to learn and leverage new technical skills and components for understanding the overall product coordination.Strong attention to detail and technical aptitudeProven analytical and trouble-shooting skills.Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment with competing business needs.
