The Barrel Mill is a family-owned company specializing in high-quality whiskey barrels, Infusion Spirals, and display barrels. We are as passionate about our people as we are about our product. We are looking for a positive and friendly customer service specialist to join our administrative team.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Sales Manager
BASIC FUNCTION: The Customer Service Specialist is an integral role in our team. This person is responsible for answering phones, answering basic customer questions, knowing when and who to transfer the customer to, entering simple customer orders, invoicing customer orders, assisting with a portion of collections, and assisting the sales and accounting team as needed with office functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service
- The primary function of this position is to answer incoming customer calls
- Answering customer questions when appropriate and transferring the phone as needed
- Process simple customer orders
- Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Work with the sales, production, and shipping team to resolve customer questions regarding their orders
Accounts Receivable
- Processes daily invoicing, electronically sending out the invoices
- Processes credit card payments for Credit Card customers in conjunction with invoicing
- Process A/R payments as received by wire, ACH, and check
- Work with customers to ensure all paperwork, POD’s, etc. are sent with invoices to help ensure timely payment
- Contacting customers for payment as directed by the controller
Other
- Receive and process incoming mail
- Print stickers for products as requested by the production
- Other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma required.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
- Minimum 2 years experience in customer service.
- Preferred experience in Accounts Receivable.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills, especially over the phone.
- Strong computer skills; knowledgeable with MS Suite products, strong Excel skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Primarily a sedentary position that requires sitting in front of a computer constantly.
- Manual dexterity is required to manipulate keyboards.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE as required (safety shoes, etc.) in the production area.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Working inside in a controlled office environment.
- On-Site position.

Pay: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour
