Job Summary

Radiodetection is a world leader in the design and development of test equipment, used by utility companies, to help install, protect and maintain their infrastructure networks. It is a subsidiary of SPX Corporation.

We are looking to recruit a Customer Service Representative based from our office in Raymond, Maine.

This role is the primary sales/service support for our customers. You will provide administrative support, greet visitors and responds to calls and emails. Encourage revenue growth through helping distributors and customers with questions and complaints, provide information about products and services. Tasks include, but are not limited to, front desk management, answering phones, and processing customer orders in a timely manner.

Main Duties of the Customer Service Representative

  • Supporting customers through telephone, web, and email inquiries (managing shared inbox)
  • Accurate and timely entry of sales orders/quotes, service orders/quotes, warranty cards, credits, trade credits, credit cards payments, coordination of freight/custom forms, and other customer service related requests and processes
  • Create new customer accounts and coordinate credit applications and tax documents with finance department
  • Generate sales/work order quotations and follow-up/process order approvals
  • Generate invoices for products, parts, repair services sold to customers
  • Generate pro-forma and commercial invoices for international sales and shipments
  • Track shipments and report status updates
  • Primary internal contact: provide basic in-house technical support to customers, dealers and manufacturer representatives on product(s) application, feature and function
  • Diligent communication and coordination between immediate supervisors, manufacturing, service, shipping and finance departments, sales team, and customers
  • Support challenges raised by increases in demand or tight lead-times
  • Identify and implement improvements to role and customer service team
  • Enhance sales & lead generation through customer surveys, database optimization and maintaining up-to-date customer reference lists
  • Manage aspects of CRM (lists and data base) to support company’s sales efforts, including direct communication with dealers, partners and users of equipment

Main skills required for the Customer Service Representative

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Self-directed and able to function independently
  • Adaptable to new computer and software technologies
  • Aptitude and history of identifying and solving business problems
