Customer Service Representative

Loyola University Maryland is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in the Student Administrative Services department.

The Customer Service Representative works in the Student Administrative Services department within the Business and Finance division. This position reports to the Supervisor of Cash & Remittance and is responsible for delivering customer service and a range of administrative support related to cashiering, University Evergreen Card, Student Accounts, and Parking to students, employees and parents of the University. The position will be the first point of contact for all visitors and walk-ins, and will work the front desk of the Student Administrative Services Office.

This is a full time benefits eligible position that works 10 months each year, with anticipated summer months of June and July off.

Duties include:
– Receive, post and reconcile cash, checks & credit card payments received daily via mail and walk in to the front counter.
– Receive and record departmental deposits delivered for the back office deposit.
– Verify and distribute petty cash reimbursements and advances.
– Close out and reconcile credit card terminal at the end of the day.
– Answer general inquires received from via phone, and route to Account Specialists for more detailed student account inquires.
– Monitor and respond to all e-mails received into the general Loyola SAS email account.
– Forward messages that pertain to specific areas.
– Provide continuous, courteous and efficient customer service to all SAS customers.
– Open & sort mail
– Take photos and print cards for new IDs.
– Print replacement cards.
– Deposit money to debit spending accounts.
– Trouble shoot access issues with non working cards.

High School Diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years of related work experience. Customer service experience required.
