Our software is used by government agencies, defence organizations, commercial survey companies as well as the research and academic community.**Position Summary and Responsibilities**As a technical expert in the field of hydrographic data processing, digital terrain modelling, bathymetric & topographic data management, engineering analysis, you are the main point of contact with our current and future customers, providing support over email, phone and online resources as well as trainings remote or onsite around the world.

Working closely with colleagues from Teledyne Optech you will also become familiar and be exposed to the same tasks within the LiDAR survey industry.**Your main tasks & responsibilities:**+ Provide first line technical support to our customers Provide software training in the office as well as at client sites primarily throughout the Americas and the Asia Pacific region;+ Build close working relationships with existing clients; Analyze current client systems and issues, identify technical problems, formulate and demonstrate integrated solutions; Document workflows, operating procedures and technical notes for our customers; Potentially be involved in marketing and sales activities of Teledyne CARIS and Teledyne Optech, including attending international conferences and exhibitions; Provide expert consultancy, once fully experienced within this role.**To be successful in this role, you will have the following mind set:**+ You like direct and remote customer interaction; Your motivation and satisfaction thrives by helping other people; You like to transfer knowledge in class room environment as well as in one on one situations; You are highly organized and flexible to do several tasks at the same time You are capable of adapting rapidly to and are eager to discover changes in technology; You like to grow your knowledge, by picking up new tools and continuously updating your knowledge; You like to make use of your knowledge to discover new opportunities for Teledyne CARIS and other Teledyne companies**Qualifications**+ At minimum a Bachelor degree in Hydrography, Geomatics or related disciplines Alternatively proven working experience in the fields of hydrographic surveys Experience in scripting languages (Python preferred) Confidence to stand in front of a crowd and provide in-depth training events Fluency in English and another foreign language, ideally Spanish Willingness to travel internationally (approx.
