The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers. The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions. The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations. The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers. The Role The COO Policy Consultant will be part of a team responsible for effectively implementing the Policy Management Policy in the Chief Operating Office. The Chief Operating Office is the 4th largest owner of Enterprise Policies and also required to adhere to a large percentage of the Enterprise policies currently published. The COO Policy Consultant will have responsibility across one or more of four key team responsibilities: (1) management and monitoring of the COO policies, (2) managing the implementation and adherence monitoring of the policies which apply to COO, (3) reviewing, decisioning, and monitoring all policy exceptions, exemptions, and violations, and (4) producing metrics to evidence the above. Key partners for this role will include the COO Compliance Risk Program team, the Enterprise Policy Office, and the COO policy owners, which are members of the COO leadership team. Key responsibilities of the role include the following: Support the COO Policy Liaison in serving as the central escalation, coordination, and contact point for all policy related matters within COO Provide policy administration, data and reporting support to COO policy owners including policy development, maintenance, and implementation activities Support tracking and reporting on front line COO policy implementation and adherence status Develop and deliver comprehensive policy-related metrics and reporting Develop and deliver communications and presentations related to COO policy governance Establish collaborative partnerships with policy owner teams, policy subject matter experts, peer policy management teams, and the Enterprise Policy Office Support delivery of policy management related regulatory and audit commitments Required Qualifications 10 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning Desired Qualifications Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications Other Desired Qualifications Policy and procedure development and implementation experience Experience assessing policies and procedures to ensure that documents meet the Policy Management Policy requirements including level of detail, content, consistency, and format Data reporting and metrics development experience Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
