Battle Spares Manager – Navy Logistics Support with Security Clearance

This is a Contract position in Washington Navy Yard, DC posted December 12, 2021.

Synchron, LLC is recruiting for a Battle Spares Manager to support the Navy at the Washington Navy Yard. The Battle Spares Manager will assist the Deputy Principal Acquisition Program Manager for Sustainment Logistics in the following areas: Act as Action Officer for battle spares planning/management and other sustainment areas.
Battle Spares planning, periodic re-evaluation of inventory objectives, and waterjet rotatable pool establishment and management.
Coordination of procurement actions, based on Class Support Equipment (OPN 0944) budget, from initial funds authorization to the procuring activity and procurement request or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimation, through contract award, to shipment of assets to Supply System storage location.
Preparation of draft Budget Exhibit updates for use by Acquisition and Finance division, including revised unit cost estimates, contracting timelines, actual costs, and addition of new items for future procurements.
Maintaining status of battle spares items, from current inventory, items under contract, delivery schedule, and storage locations, and tracking of asset issuances.
Coordination with stakeholders about requests for asset issuance, cannibalization requests, and restoration of non-RFI (Ready-for-Issue) assets to RFI condition.
Manage maintenance actions required to maintain assets in RFI status
Coordinate actions concerning Packaging, Handling, Stowage and Transportation, including storage facility capabilities, shipping requirements, and maintenance of packaging while in storage.
Coordinate stakeholder meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and action items.
Track and assist in resolving/closing action items from meetings and working groups. You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent experience.
Five years experience in material/equipment procurement, logistics, handling and storage for major U.S. Navy ship acquisition programs.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Power Point.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment. These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with Navy Shipbuilding Program support and/or Navy Integrated Logistics Support.
Experience with Littoral Combat Ship and knowledge of ship’s systems and equipment.
