Application Support – Production Support

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Support – Production Support with our client in the financial industry in their Pennington, NJ location. This is a 12 month + contract position.

Description:

• Drive day-to-day application support, which includes driving outage triage, impact assessment, potential workaround to widespread and single participant/plan related technology or data issues for desktop and server-side applications
• Coordinate and execute multiple technical tasks involving reviewing application logging, network packet captures, and other data point analysis to create technical problem statements for issues, and escalating issues to development partners with all necessary information
• Communicate the state issues with LOB partners and senior leadership on production support and development teams
• Troubleshoot application issues by reviewing pertinent logging with minimal documentation on application function and flow
• Drive for root cause analysis to application outages and provide quick service restoration
• Identify stability concerns (whether through logging, monitoring, etc.) proactively and escalate for discussion

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a complex environment with little oversight
• Takes ownership of all issues on behalf of our clients regardless of whether they are within the team’s scope of work
• Ability to document business process in a way that is understandable to others within the team
• Experience in troubleshooting complex server-side applications
• Ability to troubleshoot applications through logging, network packet captures, performance traces, and other tools to get to the root cause of a problem

Desired Skills:

• Experience troubleshooting desktop issues
• Experience with Debug Diagnose and troubleshooting .NET memory dumps
• Experience with Ping Federate, Kafka, and JBoss a plus
