We’re looking for someone like you to build improved scientific applications from vision to production-ready system.

As a sof tware engineer on our team, you’ll work with highly te chn ical SMEs to overcome your customer’s most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like microservices alongside open source frameworks and tools like Docker and Red Hat.

You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and te chn iques, while helping to identify and implement system improvements.

Using Python and Red Hat you’ll build scientific capabilities helping our clients address their mission needs.

You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• Experience with Python development in a Linux or Unix environment and with developing and deploying applications and tools using python pip, anac ond a, Git
• Experience with providing primary design and functionality enhancements to existing applications or tools
• Experienced with COTS integration and programming methods, te chn iques, and procedures
• Experience with reviewing and troubleshooting application error logs, debugging and modifying existing applications in various programming languages
• Experience with change management processes, sof tware lifecycle management, and deploying and maintaining code in a virtual environment
• Experience with analyzing sof tware upgrades and providing recommendations for implementation
• Experience writing documentation, including requirements documents, user manuals, design documents, project plans, and architecture diagrams
• Secret clearance
• BA or BS degree
• DoD 8570 IAT II certifications, including Security + CE

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with writing code to comply with the Risk Management Framework ( RMF )
• Knowledge of telescope operations and ancillary devices

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.
