APC: Software Engineer – Production Support

We are seeking a Software Developer with strong Production Support capabilities for a long-term contract role with our client in Bentonville, AR.Qualified candidates will have strong problem determination skills, strong leadership, be forward thinking, self-motivated, and bring excellence in software production support to enhance the customer experience.This position will focus on supporting point of sale application functionality that services our client’s customer’s business needs.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to work on a Microservices based platform and help provide software and production support specific to the functional deliverables using our client’s point-of-sale applications.Responsibilities: Provide production support Log analysis Review production logs and defects; handle technical support issues and create tickets as needed Build reports in Excel for internal and external clients On-call rotation of approximately 1 week per monthRequired Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field 8+ years professional experience in software development 5+ years of production support experience with cloud based and client/server applications 3+ years of cloud based or client/server development experience Proven ability in identifying and fixing both proactive & reactive software defects Customer facing skills as a trusted technical advisor Strong experience in production log analysis Ability to build reports in Excel Deep technical skills in software development technologies and tools such as DI, CI, Spring Boot, XML/JSON, Java, Docker, Maven, JavaScript, Typescript, VueJS and other newer technologies.

Strong programming and analytical skills, problem determination and debugging, attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life cycle, especially Agile methodology Proficiency with Windows and Linux-based operating systemsPreferred Skills: Knowledge of Swagger and REST design Working knowledge of network communication using sockets and HTTP Experience with retail technologies Knowledge of cloud computing technologies Working knowledge of Azure, Azure Service Bus Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and database scalability concepts like sharding Experience with high data volume enterprise integrations using topics/queues APC believes that the workplace should be fun and enjoyable.
