Job Description Full Time Construction/Maintenance Laborer for Condominium Management Company with properties based in Hartford, Middlesex and New Haven County.
Applicant must be Hartford, Middlesex or New Haven County-based The Construction/Maintenance Laborer is responsible for preventive, responsive, emergency and routine maintenance throughout properties managed primarily in Hartford, Middlesex and New Haven Counties.
Travel to surrounding towns may also be required.
Prior construction or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Individuals should be able to work independently as well as in a group setting.
Applicants are expected to maintain their own set of hand tools and reliable truck or van.
Work directly with senior employees on overall maintenance of properties.
Routine services include but are not limited to interior repairs and general carpentry and maintenance.
On the job training will be provided.
Ensure all maintenance requests are handled in an efficient and professional manner.
Provide prompt response to work orders via Smart Phone (provided by employer) email and other applications.
Make arrangements/appointments with Unit Owners for unit access as needed per various work orders.
Respond to and handle emergency situations after hours (when on call).
Purchase supplies (with company card) when necessary using own vehicle.
Maintain Maintenance Logs of work completed daily.
Provide management with descriptions of work performed daily and track hours worked in accordance with company requirements.
Be available to staff via email and phone during business hours.
Reliable personal automobile (fully insured) and basic tools required.
License and/or Certification Required : Valid CT Driver’s License and automobile insurance policy.
Education and/or Experience Required : Prior experience evaluating, monitoring, maintaining, and personally completing repairs and maintenance on residential or commercial grounds and equipment preferred.
