We are growing and looking to hire a Senior Optical Engineer to take lead on the optical amplifier module and ROADM line card product development.
This person will primarily work within our Optical Amplifier Portfolio which includes EDFA, Raman, or EDFA-Raman hybrid covering C and L-bands This position may be located in Fremont, CA, Bridgewater, NJ or Ottawa (Canada) We offer flexible work-from-home environment.
For immediate consideration contact : Yemi Otitoju, Talent Solutions Partner: ileyemi.otitojukochgs.com What You Will Do In Your Role Responsible for Optical design of EDFA, Raman, integrated optical module and circuit pack, ROADM subsystems for telecom and DCI applications Lead a development team covering multidiscipline on hardware, mechanical, firmware and testing, with global multi sites resources for full completion of product development and NPI cycle as well as flawless production launching in offshore manufacturing location Work with marketing team and PLM on Optical Amplifier, ROADM product RFP/RFQ response, specification negotiation, and customer technical support Manage projects with responsibility of managing various aspects of project: budget and scheduling, product configuration management, schedule tracking and milestone status reporting Domestic and international travel is expected The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other related disciplines Experience in optical amplifier (EDFA, Raman, etc.) design, modelling and testing Experience in optical DWDM transmission system design and modelling Experience on optical components that will be used to build optical amplifier and ROADM products (i.e.
pump lasers, GFF, optical isolator, Er fiber, OCM, WSS) Experience in component vendor interaction, piece part specification, and performance characterization Experience on optical testing engineering, process development, quality tools Experience in fiber optical module and circuit pack manufacturing process (fiber routing and splicing, optical/mechanical/electrical integration assembly, etc.) Experience leading projects What Will Put You Ahead Masters or PhD in Engineering or scientific study
