SHIPPING LOADER with forklift experience/pallet jack and electric walkie

This is a Full-time position in Newark, NJ posted February 24, 2021.
Our client in Newark is looking for a Shipping Loader. The ideal candidate is required to operate machinery. ELECTRIC WALKIE, SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT, PALLET JACK. The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate machinery and/or heavy equipment.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject the following work environment:
- The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- The employee is required to work on a dock.
- The employee is subject to extreme cold: temperatures typically between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit and occasionally may be exposed to temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit.
- The employee is subject to hazards including moving pallets; material and/or equipment handling.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Measures of Performance
- Performance reviews will be conducted annually.
- Freezer operations will be evaluated specifically on the following factors:
- Speed and accuracy of quantities unloaded.
- Compliance and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Ability to coordinate shipping with regards to customer service, efficiency and safety.
- Following accepted safety practices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Hours of Work: 6:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
