Program Manager, Data Center Construction

Minimum qualifications Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of work experience managing multi-group/disciplinary projects.

Experience constructing technical facilities.

Preferred qualifications Masters degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.

4 years of experience with data center equipment/environments and start up/commissioning processes, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, Institute handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, and fire safety systems.

Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives within set goals.

Experience managing vendor relationships.

Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast-track design build processes and associated documents and contracts.

Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical system.

You will conceptualize and describe the delivery of a data center facility from start to commissioning and understand the nuances and risks that you and your team will need to manage.

Responsibilities Manage multiple data center projects from inception through to completion.

Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facility.

Gather internal requirements and deliver solutions that satisfy customers needs.

Manage end-to-end process from construction to deployment.

Resolve highly critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.
