Utilizing a Forklift, you will be responsible for safely yet efficiently transporting and staging packaging materials and raw ingredients for each production station as requested by the operator.
Responsibilities include transporting all finished product to the appropriate storage aisle and removing debris as needed.
Attention to detail is key for the success of this individual as they will be responsible for verifying lot codes and item numbers are correct on all finished products and raw materials.
Teamwork and versatility are crucial for success in this role.
As a Production Forklift Driver, you will be monitored by the Production Lead and Production Supervisor to ensure Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, Training and Housekeeping requirements are met daily.Hours: 2nd ShiftWage: $21/hour Required Experience and Education: High School diploma or equivalentpreferredRead and write in EnglishGood math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be requiredHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipment and records keepingExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerMaintain a clean & safe environmentKnowledge and understanding of FIFO (First in First Out)Must be able to pass Forklift CertificationGood communication skillsUse of radio frequency equipment as neededWork in fast past environment with constant demand changes Essential Physical Requirements: Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn pivotSit for long periods of time, while operating ForkliftGood sense of balanceGood eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to work in a dusty environmentAbility to work in varying temperatures, depending on season 32-110 degreesAbility to learn all operating equipment and dutiesPerform daily stretching exercisesStanding: OccasionallyPushing/Pulling: FrequentlyLift Capacity up to 55 lbs.: OccasionallyNoise typical of a production environment: Entire shift/Hearing Protection Required Time Demands: On occasion, business demands may require some employees to work overtime.When overtime is required, employees are expected to work extra hours as required to meet business needs
