Production Assembler I

Assists daily in the job functions of assembling products according to clients/ customers request through Service Orders. The Assembler position is responsible for assembling product, operating machinery and using hand tools to manufacture parts that meet required specifications. And any other duties assigned by supervisor or lead.SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLEESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:* Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprints specification and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.* Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.* Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.* Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.* Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources.* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.* Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock levels. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:* High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.* 1-2 years of practical experience with proven skills in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.* Ability to read blueprints and follow proficient instructions with the assembly of products.AMETEK is a highly technical manufacturing company made up of 40 industry leading companies.
