Production Assembler – Electromechanical – M-F 1st Shift

This is a full-time Monday
– Friday 1st Shift position.

Position Summary/Objective

The Production Assembler follows outlined procedures and specifications in assembling AstroNova products.

Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand manufacturing work orders, follow procedures, documents and verbal instructions
Mechanical assembly of parts using basic hand tools
Route wires and connectors between individual component locations
Completes required paperwork, as required, and in a timely manner
Assist other team members as necessary
Required Competencies
Ability to read/understand work instructions and assembly drawings (blueprints)
Strong multitasking ability
Knowledge of basic mechanics and assembly
Candidate must be punctual, quality conscious, and motivated
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to use of common assembly hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, cutters)
Preferred Competencies
Electronics assembly
Physical Requirements

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Special Working Conditions / Travel Requirements

This job operates in a production environment.

This role routinely uses standard manufacturing equipment such as hand tools, automatic and manual presses, test fixtures and computers.

Little to no travel is expected in this position.
