Job Description Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator Full Time Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: Average 40 hrs/week occasional overtime Starting Wage: Competitive based on relative experience PC Home Center 123 Cherry St, New Albany, IN, USA, 47150 PC Home Center in New Albany and PC Lumber and Hardware in Sellersburg combines as the largest independent locally-owned supplier of lumber and building materials to the building and remodeling trade and individual consumers in the Louisville Metropolitan area.

Our warehouse employees assist in multiple areas within the warehouse and dispatch and delivery areas while always providing polite and friendly assistance to customers when in customer-facing situations.

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be dependable and friendly to customers and be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pull orders for customers.

Stock merchandise, lumber, and materials.

Safely operate a forklift.

Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines.

Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, errors, and general issues that could impact productivity.

Comply with all established company policies and procedures.

Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and customer data within an area of responsibility.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Prior work experience in a warehouse setting preferred.

Prior experience in a lumberyard or building materials warehouse is a plus.

Forklift certification is a plus.

A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Job Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Provide prompt friendly assistance to customers.

Ability to operate a forklift.

Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including manual hand jack and forklift.

Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards.

Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.

Communicate clearly and effectively with management, supervisors, and co-workers.

Give attention to detail and follow instructions.

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.

Knowledge of building materials and hardware a plus.

Physical Demands: Available to work an average of 40 hours per week however some overtime may be required occasionally.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout store and warehouse.

Valid driver’s license and insurable as a driver.
