New Construction Plumbing Foreman

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial New Construction Plumbing Foreman to perform installation, repair, assembly, and maintenance of plant plumbing as well as installation of compressed air, chemical, industrial waste fluids, steam systems, and accessory installations.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
• Inspect structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe.
• Locate and mark position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, and lead, and nonmetals, such as fiberglass, vinyl and plastic.
• Join pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.
• Fill pipe system with water or air and read pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, well pump systems, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softener
• Lead, direct and teach plumbing helpers.
• Accurate note taking and timely processing of all paperwork, such as work orders and time cards.
• Maintain vehicle controlled inventory and assist in warehouse controlled inventory.
• Communicate and respect customers and coworkers in a professional manner.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid and current driver’s license
• Journey plumber’s license is a plus
• At least 5 years of commercial/industrial plumbing foreman experience
• Working field knowledge of plumbing codes.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Working knowledge of Confined Spaces safety and regulations
• Able to operate and work off of lifts
• Ability to manage multiple jobs
• Comfortable with conflict
