Specialty Metal Products is seeking a versatile individual eager to learn how to run multiple types of machines!

Basic manufacturing knowledge is preferred, but we do offer extensive training!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to set up and operate grinding, welding, slitting, flattening, leveling, packaging, and other production equipment Selects appropriate operating parameters and is able to produce required products to specifications Ability to troubleshoot and correct problems related to the operation of the production equipment Performs quality checks to ensure product meets internal and customer specifications using various measuring devices.

Performs all safety and quality checks on the equipment, and performs required preventive maintenance and other maintenance as required Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Prior metalworking/manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments preferred Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
