Express is looking for Mill Operators for a client located in Reading, PA. The company is looking to hire on the right people and offers career growth for their employees!

Chemical Mill Operator

Pay: $17-$23/hr DOE

Shift: 3rd shift Tuesday thru Thursday, or Friday thru Sunday with every other Monday off (6:45pm-7:15am)

Location: Reading, PA

Responsibilities of the Chemical Mill Operator:

• Responsible for handling inbound raw materials for processing
• Operate chemical mills to break down product to customer specifications
• Taking samples to be tested and verified for orders as well as recording results and adjusting if needed
• Staging finished products to be sent out for orders

Qualifications of the Chemical Mill operator:

• At least 2+ years of manufacturing experience with solid work history
• Experience with mathematics to be able to properly batch products
• Ability to operate equipment, meet deadlines, and be flexible
• Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly

• Start machine and observe operation to detect machine malfunction
• Fill machine hoppers for multiple machines
• Perform tasks to set up machine and materials for machine operation
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction
• Remove finished product from machine
• Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
• Start machine and observe machine operation to reposition work piece
• Tend machines and equipment other than machine tools
• Load raw material into machine
• Operate machines and equipment other than machine tools
• Operate equipment and machine tools
• Resolve quality and machine operation problems
• Move from machine to machine; maintaining production to meet schedules
• Clean machine and machined parts
• Attending machine operator training to achieve C operator certification on assigned machine cluster
• Attending machine operator training to achieve C’ operator certification on assigned machine cluster
• Perform regular machine maintenance duties
