Machine Operators- Permanent Hiring
Weston Foods/Interlake ,Front Royal, VA
WAGE:
- 2nd Shift – rate $ 23.00/hour
- 3rd Shift – rate $24.00/hour
SHIFT:
- 2nd shift – 3 pm to 11 pm, availability required (flexibility with working overtime, and on weekends, as necessary)
- 3rd shift- 11 pm to 7 am

Our bakery team is the heart of our company and plays an important role in keeping North America’s food supply going. Our machine operators are essential to our success, and ensure our production equipment is operating smoothly to produce delicious, premier baked goods for our customers. This role will be working in our Front Royal, VA wafer & cracker plant, which produces more than 150M lbs. per year! This is our one of our largest plants in North America, which employs 350+ non-union team members. This state of the art facility is nearly 400k sq. ft., operates with 6 highly automated production lines and possess a strong team oriented culture. In a typical day, you’ll:

Be responsible for equipment set-up and change overs and running production lines as needed for various food products

Control and operate equipment’s

Read work orders and specifications to define prescribed setup operation(s)

Help troubleshoot equipment problems, and support preventative maintenance activities to reduce equipment issues and forced production stoppages

Provide input to shift action plan for their equipment area

Collaborate with engineers, supervisors and process engineers to enhance processes, procedures and training methods

Work closely with all production team members to ensure product quality
About You:

A lover of bread and baked goods!

You should be comfortable performing repetitive duties and lifting 50 pounds repetitively

You have strong people skills—you’re approachable, a good listener, and empathetic

You have previously worked in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)

You’re dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues

You digest constructive feedback as an opportunity to listen, and improve your skills, abilities, and performance

You are someone who listens to comprehend a situation first, asking questions to clarify your own understanding, instead of listening to be able to reply quickly
