We will be practicing social distancing throughout the event.Within this role, you will work as part of a team that values and focuses on Dart’s Four Priorities—safety, quality, service and efficiency—ensuring great products for our customers and a safe, engaging place to work for our employees. You will also:Level 1:* Assist with setting-up, starting, adjusting, diagnosing, troubleshooting and properly shutting down process equipment* Assist with process machinery from raw materials through downstream finished goods* Perform general preventative maintenance on equipmentLevel 2:* Set up and operate computer-controlled machines or robots to control one or more machine functions* Operate and monitor process machinery from raw materials through downstream finished goods, ensuring quality and consistency* Adjust equipment as needed to maximize up time, rates and yields* Monitor equipment for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc.* Troubleshoot and fix equipment and/or material problems* Diagnose and change out defective parts* Use advanced measuring equipment such as micrometers, scales, scannersQualifications:Level 1:* Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division* Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance* Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures* Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues* Prefer experience working in a manufacturing environment* Prefer 6 months of material handling or machine operations experience* Prefer technical school or apprenticeship experience* Prefer 1 year of previous experience with electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumaticsLevel 2 (in addition to Level 1):* One (1) year experience operating manufacturing and process control equipment or equivalent technical school or apprentice experience* Previous plant production software experience required; SAP experience preferred* Prefer previous powered industrial truck experience* Prefer paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experienceDart Container is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.https://www.dartcontainer.com/eeoaa/If you have a disability and need an accommodation to access this website or for the application process, you should call Dart at (800) 545-3278 Ext 3370 or email us at ADArequests@dart.biz.  Relay calls can be made by dialing 711 or the relay number for your state. If you experience difficulty applying online, you may call (800) 545-3278 Ext 3390 or email us at applicationassistance@dart.biz for assistance. INDHP
