Basic Function:
Safely and effectively set up and operate Two-Step machines and related machinery in accordance with production requirements. Troubleshoot problems to maintain operational efficiency and quality. Retrieve and record related production data and communicate effectively with coworkers to maintain production flow and respond to changes in production schedule.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the shift Production Supervisor.
Education/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous blow-molding experience is preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: Good written and verbal communications skills are required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Incumbent must possess effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills: Incumbent must be capable of learning and successfully applying SAP system, CDM Apriso and Customer Profiles. Must be able to quickly grasp operation of Two-Step machines and related equipment and possess the ability to troubleshoot problems on such equipment. Incumbent must be capable of completing two-step levels programs within acceptable time frames.
Other: Incumbent must possess a high degree of attention to detail and to production flow. Must be capable of working safely and effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment. Incumbent must have the ability to interpret and carry out instructions, including Work Instructions, Master Process Book and SOP’s. Must be able to work a 12-hour shift schedule. Incumbent must be willing to demonstrate schedule flexibility as business needs require as well as for coverage for vacations and other absences.
Physical: Must be capable of standing and walking on production floor for length of production shift. Will be required to lift/carry up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Must occasionally squat, bend, kneel, reach, etc., in order to carry out essential functions of the position.
Level of Authority: You have the right to hold for inspection, any product you feel does not meet customer/company specifications.
