Machine Operator II

Overview: We are looking for a machine operator to operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner while producing a quality product at the required packaging line performance.

Responsibilities: Responsible for operating Tube Filling lines such as Nordenmatic, Unipac and Axomatic.Responsible for operating Simplex & Kalix production equipment in accordance with established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.Ensure that all appropriate safety measures are in place and tested for proper operation.

Operator has authority to stop line if safety violation is detected.Responsible for cleaning and sanitization of assigned filling lines.Responsible to troubleshoot and minimal change-over of such fillers.Responsible to oversee Assembly lines to monitor quality and quantity.Responsible to communicate to supervision when equipment set-up and change-over is need it.Responsible for the supply of production materials to line to avoid interruption.Performs ongoing inspections of in process production to ensure machines are properly working to maximum efficiency.Assess, and identify any machine performance or safety issues and seek mechanical help for proper resolution through inspections, tests and adjustments to meet standards of machine performance.Maintains all necessary production and quality paperwork to ensure proper documentation of the line activity.Maintains a clean and orderly work environment in and around the packaging line.Daily housekeeping maintenance of equipment to minimize possible contamination.Works with line mechanics to ensure minimal line down time for mechanical difficulties.Collect data regarding line speeds, write pallet tickets when required, and oversee line crew if necessary.Palletize line product when required.Ensure that all Quality specifications/and or Quality tests outlined are being followed.

Operator has authority to stop line if Quality Issue arises.Attend departmental meetings and provide training as required to lower level operators.

Perform other related duties as assigned.MONLI-MG2 Qualifications: SKILLS & ABILITIESBasic mathematical skills required.Basic Microsoft Office computer knowledge.Must communicate effectively using Basic English communication and written skills.Ability to actively communicate with supervision regarding machine difficulties when required.

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, oversee the operation of multiple machines on assigned line.Able to perform complicated machine operation tasks with minimal supervision.

Has basic working knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand, (for prolonged periods of time exceeding 1 hour) walk and use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms; lift packages up to and exceeding 25 lbs.EDUCATION / TRAININGHigh school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years experience in the field or related area.

Vocational training in mechanical machine operations beneficial.
