ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Adheres to all mill safety policies and attends safety training as scheduled; ensures a safe and healthy workplace. Working safe is a condition of employment. Must be willing to work in a tobacco product free environment and a drug free environment with random drug testing. Working as scheduled and arriving on time is a condition of employment. In sound physical condition – work can be physically demanding at times. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 LBS. routinely. Maintain housekeeping, including clean flooring around winder and rewinder. Learns other production jobs in order to fill temporary vacancies of regular workers during vacation, off days, etc. Responsibilities2nd shift Spiral Mon-Fri 2:30pm – 12:30am Routinely clean and lubricate equipment, maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, ready or put away tools as assigned. Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply routine materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines. Performs routine property care activities. Performs any non-technical routine tasks at the plant. Routine quality checks on finished products. Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level colleague. Follow safety regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent). Knowledge and Skills Basic verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. Ability to work in a variety of roles.
