Assistant Machine Operator Position

Seeking applicants for Assistant Machine Operator position at our Blue Springs (MO) location (100 SW South Street)

Benefits available after 60 days of employment (medical/dental/vision/401K and more)

Starting pay $14.88/hour. After 60 day probationary period, pay depends on position assigned ($16.20 and up).

WestRock recently announced a retention bonus of $500 if hired before January 31st and still employed with us as of May 31, 2022

Job Summary

Job requires the operation of various manufacturing equipment to produce corrugated containers in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibility

– Ability to work any shift in a 3-shift operation, as well as overtime as required both daily and/or weekends.

– Able to work safely in a fast-paced work environment.

– Follow all established processes and procedures.

– Ability to work safely and follow all safety regulations and practices.

– Follows specific directions.

– Able to read tape measure and perform basic math used in manufacturing process.

– Picks up parts, paper, objects, and residue off the floor and around workstation.

– Able to operate power hand tools.

– Performs other duties as assigned.

– Ability to lift 50 – 75 pounds consistently, as well as pushing, pulling, manipulated knobs and buttons.

– Ability to successfully pass a math test, criminal background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Education & Work Experience

High school diploma or equivalent // prior manufacturing experience preferred.
