Job Description:The Advanced Machine Operator (OPII) reports to the production leader and is responsible for safely performing all tasks related to the efficient functioning of the line including operating, troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing and maintaining equipment.
The Machine Operator, Adv (OPII) is a member of a High Performance Operating Team and is required to function within that team.
Work schedule for this position is 12-hour shift, 3-4 days per week, both day and night shift available.Essential Functions:Must become proficient in operating and troubleshooting the TeknowebMust become proficient in Packer/Palletizer and Entry Machine Operator (OPI)Must become proficient in prepping and loading all raw materials for equipment.Ability to operate and maintain packaging equipment.Able to adjust machine to achieve optimum run settings throughout shift (gear changes, major adjustments to machine)Support continuous improvement plete start of shift inspection/sanitation of equipmentTrack Sanitation results, Retains/Micros and product specification complianceDaily responsibility for performing quality checks, sampling, accurately completing daily shift production batch records, visual, finished case/pallet quality checks and area cleaning checklist.Perform and/or participate in preventative & autonomous maintenance of equipmentAssist in onboarding, mentoring and training new team members.Know and understand non-conformity manualDaily responsibility for performing quality checks, sampling, accurately completing daily shift production batch records, visual, finished case/pallet quality checks and area cleaning checklist.Maintain good run adjustments i.e., print registration, label adjustments, substrate dimensions and folds)Complete minor/major machine changeovers in allotted time (film, label, paper, and box sizes)Communicate information to on-coming shiftRotate into any position as needed due to absences, breaks, etc.Understands the goals of visual workplace (VWP) and take actions when goals are not met.Stays abreast of plant and team’s overall performance via visual, written and verbal communications.Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.Must be able to stand/walk throughout entire shift.Required Skills:High school diploma or equivalent.Strong verbal, written and analytical skillsAbility to organize and prioritize workload and to meet deadlinesAbility to work in a HPOT team environment with minimal supervision.Knowledge of manufacturing lines and processes.Must be able to lift 35 poundsMust be able to stand a minimum of12 hoursRequired to wear PPE (including hair net, beard net, and any other as required for job)Must maintain an excellent attendance recordBenefits:Working at a company is not just about the paycheck you receive; it is also about the benefits that are provided.
