Machine Operator

SUMMARY Operates equipment and machinery to perform production functions in the manufacture of extruded pipes and shapes, in accordance with company QMS and EHS standards and work instructions and policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Operates various machines, such as straightener, beveler, blasters, grinders and sandblasters to complete cold finishing process in pipe production.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as per work instructions or procedures.

• Manage area of responsibility using visual management methods and takes corrective action(s) as necessary to meet operating objectives such as product quality and output.

• Execute the production plan to ensure on time delivery to our customers.

• Embrace and participate in an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, expectations and accountability, and have a passion for excellence.

• Participate in improvement activities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Must understand and follow requirements of SXP QMS and EHS system.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED.

• Previous Manufacturing experience preferred SPECIAL SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
