Machine Operator

CoWorx Staffing Services has exciting new opportunities for experienced Machine Operators in the Seymour, CT area! These are temp to hire positions working on Slitting Machines and offering opportunities for growth and advancement.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities include:

• Efficiently operate all slitting equipment for all types of materials
• Understand and follow printed work orders and work instructions 
• Verify material identity and quality 
• Accurately record quality measurements and working time as required 
• Package product per written instructions 
• Keep work area clean and organized 
• Follow safety instructions 
• Recognize and report equipment problems to Maintenance Department 
• Work with fellow team members to maintain machine up time and productivity

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent desired 
• Previous experience operating a slitting machine desired but not required
• 2-4 years’ experience working in manufacturing/production
• Must be able to read, write and understand work orders and work instructions in English
• Ability to communicate effectively 
• Must be able to stand/walk throughout shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted

Hours:

• 2nd shift: 3:30pm – 12:00am
