About the PositionKPG seeks an experienced Construction Inspector to perform daily site observations to document progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
Our construction services group is currently involved in several municipal projects, and our ideal candidate will bring their experience along with a collaborative spirit, to begin productively working on both current and upcoming projects.
This position is primarily located on North-End projects (mainly North of Tukwila/Burien), with variable working hours, schedule, and exact location dependent on the project assignment.

Responsibility Highlights:Daily observation and documentation of civil infrastructure projects including roads, water main, storm, and sewer work, etc.Ensuring conformance with contract documents including but not limited to plans and specifications, soils reports, quality assurance requirements, etc.Maintaining daily reports, measurements, calculations, and computation of quantities; Working with project team to generate Field Note Records for progress paymentsCoordinate filed material sampling and testing.
Inform engineers of possible changed conditions and track/oversee force account work, conflict resolutionPerform other duties as neededMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent5+ years of construction inspection experience or relevant construction experienceValid Driver License (daily inspection includes travel to various job sites)Willingness/ability to occasionally work weekends, night work, and/or long hours in adverse weather conditions as project dictatesAble to calculate areas, volumes, and other basic field measurement quantitiesBasic proficiency with software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and more Preferred QualificationsAPWA Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) preferredFamiliarity with WSDOT Standard Specifications and WSDOT Standard PlansDependable and detail oriented; able to handle & prioritize multiple project functionsStrong written & verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and residentsPI150331747
