Position SummaryResponsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.Qualifications and ExperienceAbility to estimate height, width, length, and other proportionsWork with blueprints or instructions from supervisorsWork with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywallUtilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structuresAbility to join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesivesWork on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildingsCheck work along the way to ensure it’s up to code and specificationsUse levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secureBuild stairs, mantles, and furnitureInstall cabinets and moldingCreate structures for pouring concreteErect scaffoldingBuild tunnel bracingBuild concrete formsReplace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doorsRepair or build furnitureInstall partitions, doors, and windowsMove and install machineryAdditional Requirements:Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Fit for Duty testJames McHugh Construction Co.
