ITW: Machine Operator Trainee (1st Shift) $750 Sign On Bonus

Job DescriptionCompiles dimensions of stock, sequence of machining operations, and type and size of thread from charts and specificationsSelects, installs, and adjusts threading die, die cutters, chamfering tools, feed grips, pressure tripping mechanism, cams, gears and pulleys.

Also sets feed rails, parts bowl, and roller sorter to ensure quality partsAdjusts speed control knobs to synchronize transfer and ejection of stock with machine actionSelects correct SEMS components (washers) and loads into machineComplies with all safety regulations and TS161949 policiesVerifies dimensions of workpieces with specifications.

Modifies and grinds thread roll dies as necessaryMaintains, oils, and cleans machines on a regular basis.

Drains and cleans oil trays; dumps scrap and sweeps floors to maintain housekeeping standardsRecognize and inspect quality issues and troubleshoots process or quality issues with engineers to correct and documentPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalentHighly motivated individual with a positive attitudeAbility to work in a fast paced environment both in a team and individuallyStrong Organizational skills and attention to detailStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic mathematical skillsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsDesired/Preferred Qualifications 1 year experience of machine operation or automotive repair or equivalent trade schoolAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAble to use gaging equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.Experience using basic hand toolsAdditional InformationWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
