What You’ll Do As a GroupProduct Manager,you’ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team located in Towson, MD.
Specifically, you’ll: Create the Strategic Business Plan for DeWALT in the pre-fabrication construction market.
This will require situational assessment, internal assessment, competitive overview, strategic goals, portfolio objectives and action plans.
Create and execute end-user based and competitive market research to determine user/industry trends, pricing, margin, and profitability targets to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches.
Evaluate market segments and determine best path to pursue in the pre-fabrication market Work closely within the Industrial sector identifying opportunities through the use of working cohorts.
Must be willing to work within an identified segment/company to learn best practices, enhance engagement and develop high fluency and understanding to the pre-fabrication segment.
This could be a year-long assignment.
Align and integrate with Stanley Black & Decker innovation teams and product development teams to ensure cohesive strategy and communication in order to deliver end to end solutions and comprehensive selling strategy Collaborate with Industrial sales team to ensure go to market strategy and sales support are structured around products and services we will offer.
Closely collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams and business groups: product marketing, engineering, channel, sales, manufacturing, and finance to drive and develop new products that meet company objectives.
Develop and implement relevant marketing collateral, point-of-sale displays, advertising materials and web content to promote assigned portfolios.
Actively communicate status of projects to all project stakeholders, which include the cross functional team and senior management.
Provide product training to customers and end users.
Prepare financial analysis for portfolio evaluation and decision making.
Participate in forecasting/capacity planning with channel, sales, and supply chain.
Other tasks as assigned Position Requirements: BS or BA in Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field required 7+ years related construction management, estimating or design and construction practices in the pre-fabrication market.
3+ years in product development with a general understanding of how to bring product to market Ability to multi-task and be able to lead and interact with cross functional teams Strong oral and written communication skills are required; must be able to present data and conclusions in an organized manner Creative thinking / problem solving skills Follows through with commitments Strong project management skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Thrives in a fast pace environment Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details Experience with BIM, Msuite, excel on screen take-off, adobe, Blue Bean estimator or other software in the pre-construction, design and fabrication process Proficiency with office productivity software, particularly Power Point, Outlook, Excel, and Word needed.
SAP and BW preferred.
