Job Description Southland Construction, Inc . is a general contractor providing vertical, heavy highway, and utility construction services in Florida since 1977. Southland has employed as many as 240 full time experienced people with a wide variety of talents second to none in the construction industry. We perform services for both public and private clients with jobs ranging from $200,000 to $100 million. SCI is looking for individuals to do physical labor on our construction sites. Responsibilities: · Prepare sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials and removing hazards · Run some types of equipment or put together and take apart scaffolding and other temporary structures · Help foreman, carpenters, and other skilled workers when necessary · Remove, fill, or compact earth · Follow instructions from supervisors · Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary · Other responsibilities as required Requirements: · Must be at least 18 years of age · High school diploma or GED · Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks · Ability to work in all weather · Must be punctual and reliable · Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry is preferred Benefits Offered: · Medical (100% paid for by Southland for employees and children) · Dental · Vision · Short and Long Term Disability · Life Insurance · Accident · Critical Illness · Cancer · Legal · PTO · 401(k) with company match We are an Equal Opportunity Employer Company Description Southland Construction, Inc. is a general contractor providing vertical, heavy highway, and utility construction services in Florida since 1977.
