JOB SUMMARY
The Frame Assembler is responsible for assembling wooden and metal mold frames.
The frames must be assembled according to specific dimensional tolerances and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply with Boral Safety Policies and Procedures
Assembles wooden and metal frames (quota of 80 total per 8-hour work shift)
Wood frames from pre-cut wood pieces
Metal frames by welding pre-cut metal pieces
Grinds the welds to ensure no sharp edges are left on the frame
Inspects metal frames to ensure safety and quality
Transports frames to inventory storage location using a forklift
Uses power tools such as: welder, grinder, hand tools, and others
Maintains clean and orderly work area to ensure facility meets department housekeeping standards
Performs other related duties as assigned by department and plant management
Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent Safety and Attendance Record
Excellent communication skills
Ability to read and write in English or Spanish
Basic numerical ability
Forklift license required
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Ability to keep up with a heavy workload.
Flexible –
– must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade

– 2 years’ experience in a relevant field
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Prolong standing or in stationary position
Complete repetitive movements
Bend or twist
Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
Ascend or descend stairs
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
