MacLean Power Systems (MPS) is a leading manufacturer of products for electric utility, telecommunications and civil markets.Job SummaryOperates forklift machinery to lift, load or move material as directed.Job Duties* Operate powered industrial equipment* Move raw material throughout the facility* Move finished product throughout the facility* Discard scrap* Take proper precautionary measures when operating machinery* Support essential logistic operations through storage and transportation of equipment* Notify technicians in advance when forklifts are in need of service* Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately* Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)* Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures* Perform other duties as assignedExperience and Education* Perform work under direct supervision* Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff* Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter* Typically require a high school diploma or equivalent and 0 to 2 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment* Powered industrial equipment certification preferredCompetencies/ Skills* Ability to interpret work instructions* Ability to follow written and verbal directions* Basic verbal and written communication skills* Vision* Judgement* Manual dexterityEOE-Minority/Female/Disability/VeteranVarious agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
